CSULB Classroom Technology Quick Guide

Most CSULB classrooms have a "Smart Panel" or "Smart Box" that includes a DVD and/or VCR player and connection to a data projector. Most classrooms DO NOT have computers to connect to the data projector. Faculty wishing to project from a computer need to bring a notebook or laptop with a VGA connection and a VGA male/male connection cable (Please note: Apple products require an additional adapter). Select this link for instructions on how to connect to smart panels and boxes as well as additional classroom technology.

CSULB Downloadable Software

CSULB offers faculty a wide variety of downloadable software at the Software Depot. You'll find the Software Depot list, instructions, and other information at this link

E-learning Management System

BeachBoard is the University's e-learning management system powered by Desire2Learn. BeachBoard courses are automatically created for each course in the university's schedule and instructors choose whether or not they wish to use those BeachBoard courses. Instructors who choose to use BeachBoard often use it to post their course syllabi, lecture materials, assignments, discussions, and even grades. For instructions and contact information go to: BeachBoard Help
